What about women like me who don’t use birth control for reproductive purposes. If my insurance didn’t cover my birth control, I wouldn’t be able to afford it, which would mean periods plagued by heavy bleeding caused by endometriosis (I have a blood disorder that causes me to be constantly anemic so I couldn’t leave my bed without bc) and debilitating depression caused by PMDD. I really don’t see how men can get covered for ED pills over women who are in the same position as me: young, sick and have tried alternatives such as vitamins and exercise and are desperate for something that will make their lives at least somewhat bearable. I’ve been using it since I was 15 and I can’t imagine going back to the days of skipping school, sleeping constantly because of the amount of blood I’d lose and crying and having unpredictable mood swings.rainbowsunicornsandbutterflies:
We challenge all of the GOP Presidential Candidates & All Republican / Tea Party members of Congress to PROVE that their sudden politicizing of birth control is NOT a Women’s Rights issue by passing legislation that prevents Men from getting Erectile Dysfunction drugs or penile enhancements unless:
- They are married
- Can pass a fertility test
- Are of an age where they can raise a child
Reblog this if you’d like to see The GOP treat men the same way they treat women.
Oh my god that would be awesome. Fucking conservatives are all in a rage about birth control pills, but they can give fuck all about boner pills.
The fact we have such publicly strong acceptance of fucking boner pills, and yet you don’t see the same kind of “horny pills” for women plastered in advertisements everywhere you look says a lot about how our society is set up.
OHMYFUCKNGLANTA!
How daft are you people?
The problem is not with birth control. No one wants to take your birth control away from you.
The problem is that the government has mandated that religious organizations who are morally and dogmatically against birth control must provide it to their employees FREE of charge.
I mean, how would you feel if you are a staunch anti-religion atheist and the government mandated that you must give me a new rosary every year for free?
Women can still have their birth control. But they’ll have to pay for it themselves if they work for a religious organization.
This is a first amendment issue, not a birth control issue.
If you think it’s just about birth control then you are ignorant and making a fool of yourself.
When I saw this the first time, I also thought it was pretty stupid. It’s not the same thing, at all.
(However, I believe that if you want ED medication, you should be paying for that yourself, too lol)Mmhmm. If you are old enough and mature enough to have sex, you should buy your own sexually related medications.
Mr. or Ms. onenationundergod up there needs to get up to speed on a few things. #1 being employment law, #2 The Constitution, and #3 The actual stances these asshole GOP candidates actually hold on this issue. Dumbass doesn’t understand how the government actually fucking works. Want to talk about looking a fool sir/madam? Find your nearest mirror.
